pInspire

A social media app similar to pInterest.

Note: I coded the whole website using React, a JavaScript library.

Abstract/Purpose:

The purpose of this website is to allow users to upload/download pictures or take them to a different website. This website is similar to Pinterest.

Its primary objective is to help people find images easily online and it’s completely free.

This project relies heavily on coding and designing using React.js and several npm packages.

Why?
Social media has become a part of everyone’s lives. From Instagram, Facebook to TikTok and Reddit, everyone is using one app or the other these days. Pinterest is one of the most popular image-sharing web applications. Other popular image-sharing websites include UnsplashPixaBayPexels, and so on. I believe creating a clone of Pinterest would be a fun challenge.

What?
One of the features that I am planning to include is the “Discover Categories” feature because Pinterest does not have it. It will allow users to swiftly click on the most popular categories. The app will have the following features:

  • Login via Google

  • Search bar

  • Discover categories

  • Profile

  • Upload pictures

  • Save/Download pictures

  • Ability to comment on a certain picture

  • Ability to click on the link of the original image

  • Toggle between Created and Saved images in profile

Who?
This app is targeted specifically towards people who are looking to download/share their images online. This app is not bound to any age, region, or demographics.

Significance
This project is significant because it uses the best practices of UX/UI and modern programming languages.

Note: You might need to click “Signin with Google” more than once.
